The Miami Dolphins are 0-5 and heading into their bye week, which means it's time to hand out some grades! And on this episode of Nothing to Hyde, award-winning columnist Dave Hyde and former Dolphins defender Kim Bokamper aren't exactly grading on the same curve.
Malik Willis gets a D+ from Dave, while Bo gives him a C. But the quarterback is hardly the only player under the microscope as the guys evaluate Miami's first five games and look ahead to what needs to change.
From the surprising emergence of Ollie Gordon and Jacob Rodriguez to the development of the Dolphins' young offensive line and secondary, Dave and Bo examine what's working, what's disappointing, and where there's still reason for optimism.
Among the topics:
Malik Willis: Is Dave's D+ too harsh?
The Dolphins' passing game and young receiving corps
Ollie Gordon's impressive start in place of De'Von Achane
Offensive line progress and concerns about Austin Jackson
Jacob Rodriguez, Jordyn Brooks, and the bright spots on defense
The lack of a consistent pass rush
Special teams disasters that earn a failing grade
Bo predicts a Dolphins victory over the Jets — but Dave isn't buying it!
Can the Dolphins turn things around after the bye week? Or will the struggles continue?
